DB Schenker - Connect B2B
After launching the original DB Schenker Connect platform, we continuously collected user feedback through in-app survey widgets, feedback buttons, and direct interviews with key B2B contracted clients.
While the standard multi-step wizard worked great for new or occasional users, frequent B2B customers needed maximum speed. They found navigating separate pages too slow for their daily, high-volume shipping needs.

My Role: Lead UX/UI Designer
Platforms: Desktop
Target Users: Frequent B2B Contracted Clients
Key Focus: Speed, Keyboard Accessibility, Single-Page Architecture, Workflow Efficiency
The Feedback and The Problem
Through user feedback and interviews with power users, we identified key pain points in the existing flow:
Too Many Page Transitions: Moving through a multi-step "one step per page" wizard caused unnecessary loading times and excessive scrolling for daily bookers.
Repetitive Data Entry: Users had to manually type in shipper and consignee addresses for every single booking.
Lack of Keyboard Control: Power users wanted to quickly tab through forms and complete bookings using only their keyboard.

The Goals
Accelerate Booking Speed: Replace the multi-page wizard with a compact, single-page layout that minimizes page reloads and scrolling.
Eliminate Repetitive Data Entry: Provide instant access to saved address books and reusable booking templates for recurring routes.
Enable Power-User Efficiency: Build full keyboard navigation and accessible shortcuts for fast, mouse-free data entry.
Solution: Single-Page Express Flow
To solve this, I designed a tailored Single-Page Express Booking Experience specifically optimized for high-frequency B2B customers.
Accordion-Style Single-Page Layout
Instead of redirecting users to new pages, the entire booking form lives on one screen. Sections (Addresses, Cargo Details, Services) expand and collapse seamlessly, keeping the layout compact and reducing scrolling.
Address Book Integration
Users can select saved locations from an integrated Address Book, completely eliminating manual address entry.
Save as Draft and Booking Templates
Power users can save incomplete bookings as drafts or convert frequent shipping routes into One-Click Templates for future use.
Full Keyboard Accessibility and Clear Controls
Together with our developers, we tested and updated every form field, dropdown, and toggle to work with keyboard navigation (Tab key). This lets daily power users complete bookings much faster without needing a mouse.

User Feedback and Results
The one-page flow successfully resolved core speed and navigation bottlenecks for frequent B2B users. However, post-launch feedback revealed that the final section still felt heavy due to the high density of options. Since this is a key service for business, we are continuing to collect feedback and test simpler ways to organize these final choices.
Key Takeaways
Different Users Need Different Flows: First-time users benefit from step-by-step guidance, but power users require speed, density, and shortcuts.
Listen to Continuous Feedback: In-app surveys and client interviews provide critical insights for post-launch product iterations.
Putting Users First: In B2B software, saving a user 30 seconds on a daily task adds up to huge time savings across an entire company. More importantly, making work faster and easier builds real customer loyalty.
